Wood Badge is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide adult members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their Scouting positions and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.
The Wood Badge course centers upon the concepts of servant leadership and leaving a legacy. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on “how to.” The skills come alive during the week as the patrol completes a patrol project based upon what they have learned.
Wood Badge is a six-day course that takes place over two weekends.
Course fee is $225 per participant, which includes food for the weekends and all training materials. This training has been compared in both content and quality to corporate-level trainings that cost thousands of dollars..... So even at that fee, this course is a bargain!
The skills and concepts learned at this training will not only impact a volunteer's Scouting experience and help youth, but they also can bring leadership and development to a participant's vocation/business as well as personal/family life.
