Hello Cuboree Families!
We're excited to welcome 200 registered participants to Fall Cuboree at Wes Watkins Reservoir, October 16–18!
Rain or Shine — Cuboree Is On!
We're planning for a great weekend regardless of the weather. Here's the current forecast:
Updated: October 15th
- Fri Oct 16: night low 39°F, sustained wind 25 mph out of the north. Dry, but that's a cold, windy setup day.
- Sat Oct 17: night low 41°F, calmer. Dry.
- Sun Oct 18: dry, warming up.
Be prepared for chilly evenings, wind, and possible rain. Bring warm layers, rain gear, and extra blankets!
🏕️ Friday night Campers — Please Check In!
If you're camping Friday night, please check in with event staff when you arrive. We need an accurate count of overnight campers so we know how many people to prepare breakfast for on Saturday morning.
☀️ Saturday Morning Arrivals
If you're arriving Saturday morning, please check in as soon as possible so we can get everyone ready and activities started on time.
📍 Directions & Parking — PLEASE READ
For the best GPS directions, search Wes Watkins Campground.
From the McLoud exit, take Redskin Road, NOT Parkwood Road. If you find yourself on the south side of the lake, you've turned too soon!
With 200 registered participants, parking will be limited.
- Some Friday arrivals may need to park near the front gate.
- Saturday arrivals: Plan to drop off your family and gear, then park at the front gate or boat dock parking area.
🏕️ Camping Areas & Campsite Setup
As you enter the one-way campground loop, you'll find larger camping areas on both the left and right sides of the road, before the restrooms. These areas are intended for larger units camping together.
Smaller camping areas are located on the left side of the exit portion of the loop.
If you're camping as a single family or with a small unit, please use the smaller camping areas on the left side of the exit loop. This will help us save the larger spaces for units with more campers.
🍳 Meals & What to Bring
- Saturday breakfast is provided for Friday-night campers.
- Saturday lunch is provided for everyone.
- Bring all other meals, snacks, and drinks your family needs.
💧 Bring Your Own Water Bottle!
Please make sure everyone in your family brings a refillable water bottle. Water bottles will NOT be provided at Cuboree, so don't forget to pack one for each person! Staying hydrated is important, even in cooler weather.
Pack your normal family camping gear, warm clothing, rain gear, closed-toe shoes, water bottles, and BSA Medical Forms A & B. Bring a fishing pole, we will have some extras — we'll provide the bait! Adults fishing must have a valid fishing license.
⚜️ Important Camp Rules
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children.
- Follow the Scout Oath, Scout Law, buddy system, and instructions from event staff.
- Respect others, campsites, and camp property. No bullying, fighting, or unsafe behavior.
- No alcohol, tobacco, vaping, illegal drugs, fireworks, or unauthorized weapons.
- Follow all Scouting America youth protection and camp safety policies.
Saturday Check-In: 9:00 AM
Activities Begin: 10:00 AM
Get ready for a weekend packed with fun and adventure! From BBs, archery, and slingshots to fishing, hiking, first aid, and Scout skills, there's something for everyone! Plus, don't miss the chance to build and race your own Rain Gutter Regatta boat! We can't wait to make some great Scouting memories with your family!
If you have any questions, please email Cindy.White@scouting.org.
See you at Cuboree!

Please save the larger camping areas for larger units. Smaller units and individual families should camp along the left side of the exit portion of the one-way loop.
