In Part 1, we talked about Den Chiefs and outdoor support. Now let’s focus on connection.

🔹 Invite Arrow of Light dens to a troop meeting
Let Scouts and parents see the difference between Cub Scouting and Scouts BSA in action. Showcase youth leadership, the Patrol Method, and troop traditions.
Provide each Scout with a copy of your troop’s upcoming calendar.

🔹 Hold a youth-led parent orientation
Have your youth leaders explain how the troop works. Use the New Scout Parent Orientation resources available through Scouting America to guide the discussion.

When families understand the program, confidence grows.
