✅ How Posts Can Become Chartered Organizations (COR)
Approve & Guide a New Unit
Complete the New Unit Application (Form 524-402), signed by your Post Commander.
Form a small committee to recruit adult leaders and help launch the unit.
Assign a Chartered Organization Representative (COR)
The COR is a member of your Post who serves as the official connection between your Post and the Scout unit.
Submit Forms & Fees
Required paperwork includes:
• New Unit Application
• Annual Charter Agreement
• Youth & Adult Applications
• Registration and insurance fees
Launch & Support
Hold a kickoff meeting, submit forms to your local council, and plan a charter presentation at your Post.
