We are now taking applications to fill the 2019 Philmont Council Contingent.

Cost for the program is $1,250.    

The Trek will leave Oklahoma City on June 15th, 2019, and return on June 29th 2019.

Overview

  • Trek Dates are 6/17 (arrive at Philmont) through 6/29 (leave Philmont)
  • June 15th will be a travel day.
  • Total Participant cost is estimated at $1250.
  • This includes the $970 Philmont expedition fee plus expenses for training and travel.
  • Participating Scouts must 14 or 13 and have completed 8th grade
  • Scouts must meet all health and fitness expectations as required by Philmont

Fee

The next payment is due on October 1st with the minimum due of $535. A Scout wanting to join the 2018 crew would need to make this level of payment by the required due date. Contact the crew advisor for more details and arrangements.

Now is the time to plan for high adventure in 2020

The summer of 2020 can seem like a long time away. Don’t let that keep you from planning your high adventure now. Philmont treks are determined through a lottery process and registration for 2019 opens October 23rd and closes on November 13th. This is your time to sign up for one of the greatest adventures in all of Scouting.

The 2019 Philmont crew fee is listed as $970 per participant for a 12-day Trek. This fee does not include travel or preparation. Worried about gear expense? Philmont will include tents, cookware and most other items needed for a crew to have a successful trek.

Philmont Advisor Workshop Coming

Learn more about the required skills and gear for a successful Trek from a Philmont professional staff member. This two-hour workshop will cover skills such as what kind of gear to take on your trek, tips and tricks for getting into the proper physical condition, and a rundown of the different crew leadership position.

All of this information and more will be covered for the low price of $10. You will not want to miss this opportunity.
