Distinguished Citizen Award dinner - Scout participation
Show off what Scouting is all about!
Packs, Troops, Crews, and Posts are invited to set up displays and exhibits at the E.C. Joullian Distinguished Citizen Award dinner. Scouts also participate in a Parade of Flags at the opening of the dinner. The Last Frontier Council will host a pizza party with Rumble, the OKC Thunder mascot! View the detailed Scout schedule.
Exhibits & Displays
Unit exhibits may be table-top displays or activities that showcase an aspect of Scouting. Knot-tying demonstrations, animal track identification, Pinewood Derby car racing, camping gear demonstrations, Cub Scout games, high-adventure photo displays, conservation projects, and merit badge activities are all encouraged. Youth interaction with guests is recommended! All participating units must make arrangements with the council.
Parade of Flags
Each participating unit should bring a U.S. flag and their unit flag. All Scouts present will participate in a parade of flags in the Grand Ballroom at the opening of dinner.
This year's honoree, Dick Sias, is a patron of the arts and music in particular. We are calling for Scouts with musical talent to participate in the program and exhibits. We have some excellent Scout soloists who will perform during the dinner. All musical talent may play during the closing fanfare. View the Musician Schedule
